CMCIS273 — CCNP SWITCH
4.0 HR. (OC) Prerequisite: CMCIS 271 with a grade of C or better or department approval. This CCNA specialization course is designed to provide students with classroom and laboratory experience in security configurations. The current and emerging networking technologies that will empower them to enter employment and/or further education and training in the computer networking field. Instruction includes, but is not limited to, a continuation of all router and switch configurations with a specific focus on the security technologies/fundamentals, basic core security technologies and development of security policies and mitigating risks. This course will also address abilities to recognize vulnerabilities in networks and detection of potential security threats. Three lecture hours and two laboratory hours per week.
