CHEM113 — Chemistry & Global Issues
3.0 HR. (TC) Prerequisite: Approved reading placement score, or equivalent. This course will examine the science behind important, relevant, and sometimes controversial issues facing today's society, such as climate change, food chemistry, agriculture, and energy. The material will be approached from the perspective of a non-science major but will be of interest and value to science majors and non-majors alike. Three lecture hours per week. (P1 903)
