AUTO234 — Automatic Transmissions

3.0 HR. (OC) Prerequisite: AUTO 117 with a grade of C or better. This course explores the transmission of power from the internal combustion engine by mechanical and hydraulic means. Problems in design and application are solved. The laboratory experience includes inspection, dis-assembly, and repair of automatic transmissions, torque converters and trans-axles. Two lecture and three laboratory hours per week.
