Function and components of common types of firearms and ammunition. Federal and state law regarding ownership, possession of firearms, laws, and responsibilities of using deadly force. Firearms specific instruction in gun safety rules for field stripping, cleaning, and proper shooting techniques. Prerequisites: Departmental Consent.
