Includes instructionin arc welding, resistance welding, brazing and soldering, cutting, high-energy beam welding and cutting, solid state welding,ferrous and non-ferrous materials, oxidation-reduction reactions, welding metallurgy, welding processes and heat treating,structural design, safety, and applicable codes and standards. Students successfully completing the following classes will havethe opportunity to participate in Welder Qualification Testing as outlined by applicable codes from the American WeldingSociety (AWS) or American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). The listed testing is the minimum requirement for theclasses. Through completion, it will enable students in those classes to demonstrate their ability to perform industry-standardwelding procedures specifications commonly used in the welding industry.
