HPR1076 — Emergency Medical Technology
This course covers the first phase of training in the Emergency Medical Technician career structure. It includes all techniques of emergency medical care presently considered within the responsibilities of the Emergency Medical Technician. The specific content of the course is based on the National Highway Safety Bureau Program Standard No. 11 and guidelines and recommendations for training ambulance personnel prepared by the Committee on Emergency Medical Services of the National Academy of Sciences.
