ENG1803 — Honors Freshman English

A course focusing on the writing process, particularly as it relates to analysis, evaluation, and argumentation. The study of fiction, poetry, and drama provides the student the opportunity to read carefully and critically, to cultivate an appreciation of literature, and to work toward both oral and written expression characterized by clarity, coherence, completeness, economy, specificity, and correctness. Substitutes for ENG 1473, Freshman English B. Prerequisite: honors standing.
