CHM3403 — Physical Chemistry for the Life Sciences

A course intended primarily for biology and biochemistry students. The course covers the laws of chemical thermodynamics and their application in bioenergetics, properties of solutions, electrochemistry and electrochemical phenomena in biological systems, chemical spectroscopy and its application in the quantification of biological substances, chemical kinetics, and enzyme kinetics. Three (3) hours lecture. Prerequisites: CHM 3073, PHY 2044 or 2244, and MTH 1294.
