Foundation for all subsequent nursing courses. Introduction to nursing and to the philosophy and conceptual framework of the Holmes Community College Associate Degree Nursing Program. Emphasis is place d on normal, basic human needs. Fundamental nursing skills are taught and practiced in the learning laboratory and applied in clinical settings. Introduction to pharmacology and to the calculation of dosages and solutions is included. Five hours lecture . Twelve hours laboratory. Nine hours credit.
