IDT2243 — American Sign Language III

Add to Catalog 3 ( Will expand sign vocabulary to include English and deaf idioms and proper use in both languages. Concentration will be on proficiency in both ASL and methods of simultaneous translation of hearing-impaired people who communicate in various forms of manual English. Increased emphasis will be placed on the development of native-like fluency. Instruction is through conversational techniques incorporating additional principles and vocabulary items. (2 hr lecture, 2 hr lab)
