PLST2144 — Injection Molding Process III
This course is a continuation of Injection Molding I and Injection Molding II. The course is designed to introduce the student to injection molded part measurements, problems and solutions. Part measurements will be demonstrated with different types of measurement equipment. Part defects are described and analyzed to show how each develops. Topics also include an explanation of the cause and effect method of problem analysis used in troubleshooting and solving all types of production problems. This course utilizes an industry-leading, internet based interactive training program, Paulson Training, to promote safe usage of standard injection molding equipment and processes. Content includes set-up, operation and troubleshooting of several types of injection molding machines, molds and materials to produce quality plastics molded parts.
