PLST2129 — Injection Molding Process I

This course is designed to introduce the student to the safe use and setup of an injection molding machine operation and controls. This course teaches the fundamentals of injection molding technology, while emphasizing the safe operation and potential hazards that come with setting up and operating injection molders. This course utilizes an industry-leading, internet based interactive training program, Paulson Training, to promote safe usage of standard injection molding equipment and processes. In this course, students will be introduced to multiple injection molders, molds, set-ups and the tools and equipment needed to safely work within the injection molding Industry. Personnel in many positions, from operator to set-up technician or process engineer, will find the information in this course valuable to help make their work with the injection molder set-up and processes more efficient, including the knowledge needed to make informed decisions on the production floor.
