FLPW2000 — Programmable Logic Controllers
This course is an introduction to the world of programmable logic controllers (PLC’s). Students will be exposed to the basics of how to program and set up a PLC. Topics include input/output interfacing, basic logic commands, different program addressing and programming styles. Students will be challenged to write a program for a simple machine. Various PLC manufactures will be used and discussed. Persons involved with fluid power, automated machinery, electronics, machine design and machine modifications should consider this course.
