EMSV2036 — Work Integrated Learning - Primary Care

This course explores and applies the contemporary professional model of community paramedic in the health continuum. This course will focus on competencies that examine the professional responsibilities of community paramedics in multifaceted roles: therapeutic communication, empathy, attitude, confidentiality, and patient safety. The competencies will be experienced in non-emergency clinical and community focused environments, under the supervision of a medical director, physician, nurse practitioner, or physician's assistant.
