CULA1175 — Baking and Pastry Fundamentals
This course introduces students to the fundamental skills, techniques, and theory essential to the art of baking and pastry. Focus will be on hands-on instruction, proper ingredient functions, mixing methods and techniques. Topics to be covered are cookies, quick breads, yeast breads, cakes, pies, tarts, simple pastries and desserts.
