CBTG2600 — Woodworking Entrepreneurship
This course introduces students to the principles and practices of entrepreneurship as they apply to woodworking, cabinetmaking, and small-scale manufacturing businesses. Students explore business planning, pricing, estimating, marketing, customer relations, and legal and financial considerations specific to the woodworking industry. Emphasis is placed on translating technical woodworking skills into sustainable business operations, including job costing, workflow planning, risk management, and growth strategies. Students develop and present a practical business or venture plan aligned with their career goals in custom woodworking, cabinetmaking, or related trades.
