CARP2100 — Advanced Stair Framing

This advanced course builds upon foundational stair building skills to prepare students for complex residential stair construction. Students will construct advanced stair systems including a complex stair system. Emphasis is placed on interpreting architectural drawings, applying building code requirements to non-standard designs, and fabricating finish-grade components that meet precision tolerances. Students will complete a capstone project involving the layout, fabrication, and installation of a stair system with code-compliant transitions and railings.
