SON 2121 — Obstetrics and Gynecology Sonography I

Designed to give the student an understanding of the anatomy, physiology and pathology of the female pelvis as well as its normal and abnormal sonographic appearance. Also intro- duces the student to the first trimester of pregnancy and its re- lated anatomy, physiology and possible pathology and/or complications. Embryology, early fetal development, so- nographic identification and imaging of the embryo and fetus, trans-abdominal and trans-vaginal scanning techniques will be covered.
