NUR 1515C — Concepts of Mental Health Nursing

This course examines psychiatric mental health and biological processes for specific psychopathologic diseases and disorders across the lifespan. Students will learn to assess and manage psychobiological disorders, psychiatric emergencies, and age-related mental health conditions using safe, evidence- based nursing interventions. The associated psychopharmacol- ogy and psychotherapeutic modalities and specific nursing care for those patients will be integrated throughout the course. level reading, writing, and math skills are required.
