RNSG 2103 - Concepts of Adult Health III RNSG 2103 - Concepts of Adult Health III The course prepares the nursing student to provide compassionate, effective, evidenced-based nursing care for the adult client or group of clients in the inpatient setting. Concepts of advanced medical surgical nursing will be applied through the nursing process to the care of the adult client with complex problems incorporating essential nursing science, biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural principles. Content focuses on cardiac, neurological, immune, oncological, life threatening disorders, terminal illness, mental health, and end of life issues. Emphasis is placed on the restoration and maintenance of health. Pharmacological concepts are strengthened throughout the course. Supervised clinical inpatient/outpatient hospital experiences will provide the student with opportunities to meet course competency
