Students must be affiliated with a criminal justice agency and have approval from the agency head or the academy director prior to enrolling. This course includes information about the pathophysiologic base and pharmacologic management of disease processes across the lifespan. The focus is on alterations in physiologic function as manifestations of disease, and differences in children, adults, and older adults. Emphasis is on relating signs, symptoms, and laboratory findings of common alterations and understanding the appropriate pharmacologic management to promote adaptation. +*
