ES 175A — Beginning Volleyball

This course provides instruction and practice in the fundamentals of indoor volleyball, with an emphasis on developing individual skills and applying them in team play. Students will learn and practice core techniques such as serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking, and defensive strategies. Topics specific to both men's and women's volleyball will be introduced and discussed to broaden understanding of the game. Additionally, the course will address the influence of nutrition, health concerns, injury prevention, and strategies for lifelong health and wellness. (CSU/UC) (AA/AS-7B)
