SOC240 — Sociology of the Family
Examines the social institution of family from historical and multi-cultural perspectives emphasizing the use of sociological theories. Specific topics include dating rituals, mate selection, parenting, divorce, family violence and work patterns. Focuses on how families are influenced by larger social forces, such as religion, social class and social policies. Enrollment Requirement: Eligible for ENGL& 101 or instructor consent.
