For students in college transfer programs, especially those interested in biological or medical sciences. Course develops an understanding of the basic concepts of physics and analytical and problem solving skills with applications to biological systems. Laboratory is an integral component of the course. Teaches the principles of energy flow and conservation, along with electricity with biological and medical applications. No credit given to students who have completed PHYS& 115 . Enrollment Requirement: Eligible for ENGL& 101 and a grade of 2.0 or higher in PHYS& 114 or PHYS 154 and in either MATH 97 or 1 1/2 years of high school Algebra.
