PHIL160 — Introduction to the Philosophy of Science
Introduces students to a critical look at the methods of inquiry associated with the sciences. Drawing from a broad range of historical and contemporary sources, topics will include: the aim of science; distinguishing science from non-science; scientific explanation, confirmation, and falsification; and the structure of scientific revolutions.
