PHIL105 — Historical Survey-Modern Philosophy
Introduces students to the philosophy of modern western civilization. Examines the period of philosophy from the humanism of the Enlightenment through the end of the 19th century, including such philosophers as Descartes, Leibniz, Spinoza, Hobbes, Locke, Berkeley, Hume, and Kant. Emphasizes the influence of these philosophers on current thought and practice. Enrollment Requirement: Eligible for ENGL 99 or instructor consent.
