An examination of stories, poems, and work of other genres addressing lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) identities. Applying lenses of culture, race, nationality, religion, and history, the course examines LGBTQ literature’s interactions with cultural and historical constructions of sexuality and gender. Coursework includes critical/cultural theory, writing, and research. Enrollment Requirement: Eligible for ENGL 99 or instructor consent. Satisfies Requirement: Humanities/Fine Arts/English and Diversity Course
