Teacher Education
An Associate Degree program preparing students for transfer to a college or university to complete a Baccalaureate Degree in Education or Elementary Education. Elementary school teachers provide young students with support and guidance to excel academically, professionally, and personally. Public school employment requires state licensure, typically including a Baccalaureate Degree, a teaching internship, and passing a state-administered exam. Students must coordinate with the transfer coordinator and intended institution to ensure relevant coursework selection.
Prerequisites: Students are required to work closely with the transfer coordinator and intended transfer institution to select relevant coursework., Transfer institutions may require a GPA of 2.7 or higher and satisfactory scores on a basic skills test.
