Medical Coding and Billing Specialist
The Medical Coding and Billing Specialist program prepares students for entry-level positions in healthcare, focusing on medical coding and processing health insurance claims. Delivered fully online over three semesters, it builds on the Medical Office Professional certificate (first semester). Students must earn 75% or higher in all courses. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to sit for a national certification exam. An optional Associate of Applied Science degree pathway is also available, requiring additional general education coursework for a total of 61–63 credits.
