Cosmetology
Cosmetology is a three-semester program combining theory with a practical internship. Advanced educators visit to give demonstrations, and field trips expose students to in-salon situations, trade shows, and seminars. Approved by the Michigan Board of Licensing and Regulation, the program prepares students for the State Licensing Board Examination. Students train in a fully equipped cosmetology laboratory under a licensed instructor, gaining skills to earn a Michigan or Wisconsin cosmetology license, a cosmetology instructor's license, or a manicurist license.
Prerequisites: Minimum of 1,500 hours of training, At least 75% average grade in each subject
