Commercial Motor Vehicle Driver License - Class A Tractor Trailer
GCC offers training in a variety of vehicles including sleeper cabs, a day cab, logging loader rail trailer, dry van trailer and both manual and automated shifting transmissions. The program covers safety, FMCSA regulations, truck mechanical parts, vehicle inspection, basic maneuvers, driving techniques, and trucking industry practices. Students enter without a Commercial Learner's Permit; the college prepares them to test for their CLP and CDL. Reasonable ADA equipment accommodations are available.
Prerequisites: Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination
