RTT 100 — Introduction to Respiratory Care
This course introduces students to the respiratory care profession, including its history, scope of practice, roles within the healthcare team, and legal and ethical responsibilities. Topics include infection control, patient safety, communication skills, cultural competence, and professional behavior. Students explore credentialing and licensing requirements and gain an understanding of the expectations for academic and clinical success.
