Floor Covering Training
Glen Oaks Community College offers three short-term workforce training pathways in the flooring industry. The 2-week Floor Covering Sales & Service program covers product knowledge, customer consultation, estimating, and showroom sales. The 8-week Floor Covering Installer program provides hands-on training in carpet, LVT, ceramic tile, and hardwood installation, jobsite safety, and career preparation — no experience required. The 2-week Floor Covering Installer Upskill program is designed for working installers seeking advanced techniques such as heat welding, hand sewing, and business development. All programs are in-person at Glen Oaks.
