Visual Arts, Emphasis in Fine Art

Degree

The Fine Art emphasis within Glen Oaks' Visual Arts AA program prepares students to explore painting, drawing, sculpture, and more while building a professional portfolio. Students learn from practicing artists, work with mediums such as charcoal, acrylic, watercolor, and sculpture, and study 2D and 3D design and art history. General education courses transfer easily to four-year institutions, making the program ideal for students pursuing a BA in art, design, or art education. Flexible scheduling accommodates part-time students, and transfer agreements with Michigan and regional institutions support continued academic growth.
