SOC 280 — F Media, Culture and Society 3 Units
54 hours lecture per term. This course is a critical analysis of media and culture from a sociological perspective, including the ways in which media is shaped and influenced by society, culture and individuals. Topics include the role of media in ideology, identity and interaction; race, class and gender; economics and politics; social change, technology and globalization.
