READ 096 — F Preparation for College Reading 3 Units
54 hours lecture and 18 hours lab per term. This course will prepare students for the demands of college reading in academic subjects. Content area reading, essays, and journal articles will be analyzed with an emphasis on comprehension, general and academic vocabulary enhancement, study skills techniques, critical thinking, organizational structure, and reading within various disciplines. This course fulfills the reading requirement for graduation. Letter Grade or Pass/No Pass option. (Degree Credit)
