MATH 253 — F Additional Topics in Linear Algebra (formerly MATH 250CF) 2 Units
36 hours lecture per term. This course completes the introduction to Linear Algebra begun in MATH 252 F . Topics covered include linear transformations and their properties, the Dimension-sum theorem, matrices of linear transformations, inner product spaces and their properties, orthogonality, the Gram-Schmidt process, diagonalizability of symmetric matrices, and simplifying quadratic forms.
