DANC 101 — F Introduction to Dance World Cultures 1 Unit
54 hours lab per term. This course will introduce social, folk, and square dancing from the different cultures of the world. Dance cultures that will be studied will include the dances of: Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, Mexico, Native American, Polynesia, and Spain. This class will include research and study of the backgrounds of dances and cultures, and will provide opportunities for development of acceptable performance as preparation for more advanced technique courses.
