CIS 181 — F Computer Certification Preparation 3 Units
54 hours lecture per term. This course prepares students for industry standard certifications with both theoretical and practical lessons relating to Microcomputer hardware and software. Emphasis is placed on how hardware components function together to make a Microcomputer work properly, how software interacts with hardware, and practical methods to protect hardware and software. Topics include installing, configuring, and upgrading personal computer components and peripherals in a networked environment. Letter Grade or Pass/No Pass option. (Degree Credit) (CSU)
