STS2365 — Prof Skills for the OR Team
This course introduces students to the principles of professionalism, including working with many different people and cultures, demonstrating respect for different perspectives and placing value on the importance of providing and responding to constructive criticism. Students also learn mechanisms that can help them work well under pressure. Topics including the willingness to work hard, multi-tasking and safety procedures that can enhance the ability to complete a variety of tasks simultaneously, the importance of professional organizations, the credentialing process, and how to work within a committee process are also discussed.
