MEA1206C — Clinical Procedures I
This course will provide skills and knowledge for the student to assist the practitioner with various aspects of the clinical practice. These skills will include vitals, patient care, preparation for examinations as well as procedures, treatments, surgical sterilization procedures, surgical instruments and administering EKG's for diagnostic testing. In addition, students will gain and apply principles of aseptic technique and infection control in the medical office. Equipment use, care and routine maintenance will be covered. Course appropriate pharmacology will be presented.
