This course is designed specifically to orient individuals to the health care delivery system and medical assisting career. The course provides students with knowledge of clinical microscopy techniques and procedures that may be performed in CLIA-exempt laboratories and emergency preparedness and protective practices. The student will gain valuable insight of laboratory procedures and be able to recognize signs and symptoms that may indicate to the physician a need for laboratory testing.
