This course provides the classroom instruction required for flight training and the FAA Private Pilot-Airplane Knowledge Test. Topics included the science of flight, airplane systems and instruments, weight and balance, aircraft performance, meteorology, physiology of flight, basic navigation techniques, radio navigation, the Air Traffic Control system, radio communications, and the Federal Aviation Regulations. Students that complete the course satisfactorily may earn the endorsement to take the FAA Private Pilot-Airplane Knowledge Test. Students are required to be enrolled in or have completed this course prior to beginning Private Pilot flight training.
