This course addresses basic principles and applications of economic decision-making between alternatives encountered in engineering systems projects. Topics include: time value of money, interest and equivalences, benefit-cost, depreciation, inflation and taxes, estimates of demand, cost, and risk, and decision theory. Analysis includes methodologies of economics and finance in addition to engineering fundamentals.
