CWD0255 — ELI Level 3 Speech
The English Language Institute (ELI) provides intensive, high quality, non-credit instruction to non-native English language speakers. You will gain proficiency in English as a second language and a better understanding of American culture. The Advanced Speech core is part of the intensive English Language program offered by FSCJ to International, F-1 students. The speech core is comprised of curriculum that is designed to facilitate accuracy and fluency in aural/oral skills, academic listening and note taking. Students also work on public speaking and presentation skills. The ELI program includes 20 hours of instruction per week for 13 weeks, a dynamic and superior curriculum (grammar, reading and writing) and local cultural immersion activities/field trips. (65 hours) NOTE: This course serves non-degree seeking F-1 international students ONLY. Students will be required to complete an online assessment before being accepted into the program.
