This degree is designed to prepare students for entry level employment in community nutrition programs and healthcare food service. This degree can prepare students for transfer to four year college in dietetics, food science or culinology. Learning Outcome(s): 1. Identify the causes of food borne illness and the practices to prevent food borne illness in a food service system. 2. Identify and compare preparation methods to optimize nutritional content. 3.
