LA 3 — Methods and Application in Group Instruction
This class explores theories and methods of learning and their effective application. It will specifically address learning through a multidisciplinary lens while promoting group interaction and engagement. All students hired as Extending the Class (ETC) Leaders for the Division of Library and Student Learning Support Services must complete this class during their first year of providing support. Enrolled students will receive instruction regarding the design, implementation, and evaluation of a collaborative and engaged Supplemental Instruction (SI) learning environment. Through experiential learning, ETC Leaders will have the opportunity to develop and strengthen their interpersonal communication and critical thinking skills in preparation of furthering their academic and/or professional careers.
