FILM 20 — Introduction to Motion Picture Cinematography
This course serves as an introduction to the fundamental technical and aesthetic principles of motion picture cinematography used for narrative filmmaking. The course will explore both the technical and theoretical approach to creating a visual moving image while understanding the implications the frame can give the viewer by examining cinematographers as both artistic visual storytellers as well as technicians in the craft of visual design through practical training in the use of the camera, the lighting equipment, and post-production processes.
