NURS 2300 - Nursing Care of the Client with Alterations in Mental Health NURS 2300 - Nursing Care of the Client with Alterations in Mental Health 7 Credits Hour(s) 4 Lecture Clock Hour(s) 9 Clinical / Studio / Internship Clock Hour(s) Credit Summary: Advanced applications of the nursing processes are presented in classroom and clinical components of this course with emphasis on planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for adult patient/client with complex health needs in acute care settings. Discussion of body systems and functions including, but not limited to, cardiovascular, neurological, reproductive, gastrointestinal, endocrinology, genitourinary, sensory, hematological, and oncology/ neoplasia. Complex nursing care of the adult will be presented with a review of anatomy and physiology, therapeutic/modified diets, nutritional information as it is associated with the health of the client and pharmacological interventions for each body system addressed.
