LPNU 2433 - Pediatric Nursing LPNU 2433 - Pediatric Nursing 3 Credits Hour(s) 2 Lecture Clock Hour(s) 3 Clinical / Studio / Internship Clock Hour(s) Credit Summary: This course also presents essential information on growth and development from infancy through adolescence, along with disease processes specifically associated with developmental stages. In addition, health alterations that commonly affect the pediatric population across the lifespan are examined. Students focus on age-appropriate nursing care for the restoration of health and the promotion of wellness and learn to adapt nursing care and interventions to reflect appropriate developmental stages and how to modify nursing actions for the pediatric client. This course includes a 30-hour clinical component. Note: Students must pass both the theory and clinical components of this course with 80% in each component to successfully complete the course and advance in the Practical Nursing Program.
